Racing: Austin began in 2003 at Toney Speedway in Toney,

Alabama. He raced a limited schedule in 2003, where

he won 4 poles, placed 2nd in 4 races and 3rd in 2 races

Austin raced in the inaugural Nashville Asphalt Kart

Series at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN

in 2004. He recorded 2 feature wins and placed 2nd in

overall points in the Junior Sportsman I Division.

Austin raced in the Nashville Asphalt Kart Series again

in 2005. The Series was moved to the Tennessee

Speedway in Dickson, TN. While missing 4 races, he

still placed 3rd in the overall point standings. He

recorded 2 wins and placed 2nd in 5 races. Austin

ended the season with an impressive win in the Nashville

Kart Series Fall Finale held at the Music City Motorplex.

He overcame a crew chief error and stayed in the hunt

until he made the final pass with just 3 laps to go.

Austin will move up from the Sportsman I division to the

Junior Division. The Junior Division is for drivers from

age 12 to 16 with faster engines. His top speed will

increase to about 65mph.

Austin plans on racing in the Nashville Asphalt Kart

Series again this year. Unfortunately, he will miss the

Spring Fling at the Music City Motorplex due to a

basketball tournament he will be in that weekend. The

Series is scheduled to begin March 11, 2006.

He will also race limited events during off weekends at

the Dacosa Speedway in Dacosa, MS just south of

Memphis, TN. The track is a 1/5 mile tri-oval like the

Tennessee Speedway. He would also like to get back to

Toney Speedway and play in the dirt if we can find the

time.

Other: When race season is over, Austin plays basketball in

the Grassland Athletic Association league.
